Tips for Paramedic cardiology from a 15-year vet

Teaching paramedic cardiology for years. Here's what students miss:
- Don't just memorize ACLS algorithms. Understand WHY.
- STEMI mimics are more common than you think (LV aneurysm, pericarditis, LBBB)
- Know your wide complex tachycardias — SVT with aberrancy vs VT
- Practice 12-lead interpretation daily for just 5 minutes
I recommend pairing your study with a good tutor. www.emttutor.com has great one-on-one sessions that helped one of my students go from failing to passing.

Great advice on the 12-leads. I tell my students the same thing.

emttutor.com looks good — might book a cardiology session.
